The Centre welcomes Jacob Brain who is the recipient of the inaugural Uni of Nottingham & Uni of Adelaide Joint PhD scholarship program.
Jacob has recently started a joint PhD program between the University of Adelaide and the University of Nottingham that will focus on developing dementia risk prediction models specifically in the context of cardiovascular disease.
Jacob’s training includes a Bachelor Science (Hons) in psychology and a Masters of Science in applied neuropsychology.
He worked as a researcher on a European Space Agency funded project investigating satellite technology in care homes, as well as a Clinical Associate Psychologist in both forensic and community based settings.
Jacobs supervisors for a project, where he will be based half time in the UK and half time in Adelaide, are Professor Blossom Stephan and Professor Mario Siervo at the University of Nottingham and Dr Phillip Tully and Professor Deborah Turnbull at the University of Adelaide.
