Optimising Web-Based Computer-Tailored Physical Activity Interventions for Prostate Cancer Survivors: A Randomised Controlled Trial Examining the Impact of Website Architecture on User Engagement
found that men living with prostate cancer are more likely to engage in physical activity when a web-based exercise program is structured in a ‘tunnelled’ fashion where the user is guided through sets of information. However, results also indicate the benefit of individuals navigating the website without guidance as such an approach resulted in greater access to different sections of the website, namely the “social support” and “habit formation” modules.
