Nathan Harrison and colleagues have found that targeted brochures describing cancer-related psychosocial services had no impact on rural men’s willingness to seek help. The pattern of results indicates that this brief, paper‐based intervention may not have sufficiently challenged the negative psychosocial help‐seeking stereotypes endorsed by rural men.
