ROSS fertility and sperm health study seeking men aged 18-45 years in Adelaide

The Reactive Oxygen Species in Sperm (ROSS) study is being undertaken by researchers at the Robinson Research Institute and the Freemasons Centre for Male Health and Wellbeing at the University of Adelaide.

Researchers are seeking healthy men aged 18-45 years, living in Adelaide, to assist in a study aimed at improving sperm and fertility screening for men. Men will be required to produce a semen sample on up to 4 occasions over 6 months, and undergo a finger prick-blood test, body measurements and complete a health questionnaire. The semen sample may be collected at home and brought into the Clinical Trials Facility at the Adelaide Medical School (North Terrace, Adelaide).

A semen (fertility) analysis will be provided free of charge with the first sample, if requested, and men will receive a $30 Coles Myer Card for subsequent donations.

The University of Adelaide Human Research Ethics Committee approval number is #H-2020-163.
