Volunteers needed to help develop a genetic risk tool for degenerative eye disease

Volunteers aged 50+ years are being sought for a study that aims to develop a test of genetic risk for eye diseases such as glaucoma and macular degeneration. The Centre’s University of Adelaide program hosts the mensHealth Register, a register of men (as consumers) ready to help us efficiently undertake research. You will be invited to participate in men’s health research, and research where it is important to have good representation by men. You will have the opportunity to have a say on a range of issues affecting men's health and join studies of new treatments and programs. See below for the list of current research studies seeking male participants.

What does registering involve?

To join, click on the 'Register here' button below and complete the on-line form. After registering you will be directed to an optional health and lifestyle survey that will only take a few minutes to complete. This information will only be used to collectively profile men participating in the register. Your information is strictly confidential and will be collected through a secure on-line platform and stored on a local server at The University of Adelaide.
